September 2nd, 2010

EXCLUSIVE tattoo designs by Juan Orellana.
‘Branded Designs Ink’ focuses exclusively on clientele who understand the importance of originality and individuality. Our art is STRICTLY custom designed and based on your direction and ideas. This guarantees a unique and lasting design that is representative of you, your feelings, your experiences and your outlook in life.
OUR SERVICES ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE because we do not take walk-in traffic or people who are impulsive about getting a ‘trendy’ tattoo.
Our operation is based on an ‘APPOINTMENT ONLY’ basis. We meet with all our clients directly for a consultation to evaluate and discuss the details of the design you are seeking to have done!
Juan’s first encounter within the tattooing field began when he was hired exclusively as an artist for custom tattoo designs. He took a digital approach and created a process for servicing his clientele by using a scanner, digital photography and Photo-shop. Quickly, clientele fell much in love with the idea of visually seeing a digital design of their image; before any permanent inking.

However the big question was, WHO WOULD INK THE ART? Juan began taking his projects to various parlours across the city where he became intrigued by yet another method of creating art, using a different tool instead of a pencil but using needles instead of lead. A new challenge; where erasing is NOT an option, a method that requires tedious focus, confidence and an extremely steady hand…were all immensely valuable skills that Juan could manifest from his already developed artistic ability and talent.

It was not long before complete control was sustained over this unfamiliar tattooing tool and Juan’s’ popularity would rapidly rise in exclusive scenes around Toronto,
Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Miami within the entertainment industry’s movers and shakers who value the PRESTIGE that comes with being unique and working with an artist of status, experience and depth.

Juan’s interest in Art began at a young age, in his home country El Salvador. At age 11, Juan came to Canada and was instantly inspired by the hip hop culture and graffiti art. He developed his style using pencils and shading sticks; at times, dedicating up to 11 hours daily to fully render ONE illustration. Hard work pays off and Juan’s’ work displayed incredible photo-like properties capturing the likeness of his subjects precisely.
Juan enrolled in the Graphic Design program at George Brown College in Toronto..where Juan’s’ art reached new heights; as he developed his abilities in a DIGITAL medium. Access to creativity broadened with advanced knowledge and mastery of software such as Adobe Photo-shop and Illustrator.

Preparation met opportunity and Juan went international with his work..boasting a long list of clients from corporations around the world such as NIKE, FILA, Scholastic NYC, Oxford University Press in Europe & several more.
A large variety of merchandise packaging showcases his art, as well as national advertising campaigns which display his work in various print ads, on bus shelters, billboards, murals, television commercials and much, much more !! ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

TORONTO LOWRIDERS X TRUE PLAYAZ EVENTS 2010

July 20th, 2010

Coming up fast September 25th 2010 is our True Playaz Annual BBQ to cap off a fantastic summer of Lowriding, hopping, cruising and just hanging out with good friends and familia!! Gotta say this year was the best so far !! Seeing so many Lowriders on the streets on Toronto makes me feel real good about the future of our Culture and Lifestyle! Just remember True Playaz CC were the the first LOWRIDER car club in Toronto and we still keeping the movement going through positivity and unity ! We added a few new members and we came out with 8 rides this year. Yes they are not at the level we want yet but we working on that. I myself am mastering the art of painting and pinstriping so as our club grows we will have full control over what we want to do and build. Our vision of a Lowrider car club is very unique and together with Clyde, Dylan, Marco  and the rest of the crew we gonna build that vision one Lowrider at a time. Clyde our Prez keeps perfecting the craft of metal fabrication, hydraulic installations and building some sweet rides!  My Monte Carlo ‘s frame is pretty much done so lookout for this beast to come out next year!! This year True Playaz CC also attended some other none traditional Lowrider shows like the BOTTOM FEEDERS CC show ( A Rat Rod Car and Bike crew). We were really impressed with the stuff they built! Some sweet fuc*&%ing stuff, good peoples and a great vibe! ( Special whats up to DOODEE BROWN)!! Clyde and I have a deep love for Sleds as well. I realized we not so different and we hope to build a great friendship over the years to come. Cheers, Puro Cervantes VP True Playaz

Our new TRUE PLAYAZ CC BANNER for 2010. I wanted to give the club a new look and feel for the 2010 season. From this rose the idea of a new icon! The TP icon which we wear proudly on our caps and Dickie shirts.
